R.I.P

Blind guitar prodigy Jeff Healey died at the age of 41 from cancer. Most of you will recognize him from his turn as the singer in the house band in the movie "Road House". Here he is rocking a serviceable rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps".

Serviceable?

I'll have you know, sir, that George Harrison himself plays and sings on that track! It's way more than serviceable.

Another one lost too soon. We have to put up with all the shit on the radio these days, and all the guys who actually play their instruments are dying. Mike Smith (lead singer for the Dave Clark Five) died this week as well.

We're running out of what Frank Zappa called "the real guys."
